2014 Whole Army’s Professional Arts Festival kicked off

PANO – The 2014 Whole Army’s Professional Arts Festival officially opened on August 8th at the Military Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City in the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.

In his opening speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department, said the festival was an important political and cultural event in order to praise the tradition of the VPA and people, and the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new context, as well as a good opportunity for the army art troupes to gather and exchange professional experience.

With more than 120 art performances by over 1,200 participating artists, the eight-day festival is expected to leave deep impressions on audience and to reflect the typical identities of different regions in the country.


Earlier, talking with the participants, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich encouraged them to try their best to overcome difficulties to make the festival a success.
