Pakistan hopes for defence cooperation with Vietnam

PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, received Pakistani Ambassador to Vietnam Zaigham Uddin Azam at the ministry’s Headquarters on August 8th.



The guest held that Pakistani leaders always believed Vietnam would gain more rapid economic development in the coming time, and that Vietnam and Pakistan have a great potential for economic cooperation.


The Pakistani diplomat said during his term of office in Vietnam, he desired to contribute to establishing and enhancing the bilateral defence cooperation relationship.


The Vietnamese general hoped that the two countries’ ties would be reinforced and promoted, contributing to the peace and stability in the region and the world as a whole.


He affirmed Vietnam is willing to welcome Pakistani officers to the country for study as well as other Pakistani representatives to set up their cooperation in the areas of mutual concern.
