PANO – Commando Brigade 198 of the Commando Arm has sent its troops to carry out mass mobilization in Ea Yieng commune, Krong Pach district, Dak Lak province, and help locals upgrade a 7km rural road.

During the two-week long program, the unit’s troops helped locals grasp the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on nationality, religion, population and birth control, as well as raise their vigilance towards hostile forces’ schemes.

Thanks to good mass mobilization, local people in the commune’s hamlets, such as Ea Mao, Kon Tay, Kon Wang and Kon H’Ring, joined efforts with troops and contributed materials to construct rural roads. Showing their sympathy for troops’ hardship, many locals gave them food for their meals.

As an impoverished locality in Dak Lak province, Ea Yieng commune is now home to 5,644 inhabitants with 90 per cent from Xe Dieng ethnic minority people. Most of them live in poverty due to low agricultural productivity.

Over the past three years of joining the program to build new rural area in the locality, the brigade has contributed over 10,200 working days to upgrade or newly construct rural roads, and dredge irrigation canals, carried out such social activities as offering gifts to policy beneficiaries, providing free health check-ups and medicines, and providing rice for locals, making contributions to beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and consolidating the beautiful relations between troops and civilians.
