PANO – Around 100 troops from Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard and youths from Youth Union of the SaiGon Tourist on August 21st took part in a volunteer program in Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district.
The participants granted scholarships to students of Thanh An Primary School and needy border troops’ children, books to children in Can Gio district and saving books to policy beneficiaries and young fishermen.
Besides, an exchange, themed “Volunteer youths act for national sea and islands and join hands to build new rural areas” was also organized for people in the island commune.
