thNational Congress in Hanoi on Monday. The Congress will be a forum for people throughout the country to raise their voice and show unity over national construction and defence. Tran Hau is former Editor in Chief of the Front Magazine of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s central Committee: “I suggest we should declare the program on national unity for a peaceful, united, independent, democratic and strong Vietnam. I think that more than 90 Vietnamese people are looking forward to the call of the Congress. It’s time to make a Declaration on National Unity in the new context”.
Professor Doctor Pham Thi Tran Chau recommended that the Front’s action program needs to address moral degradation, and supervision in education. Nguyen Tien Vo, Deputy Head of the Consultative Council for External Relations and Overseas affairs proposed to launch a campaign to raise the front’s role and prestige: “It’s necessary to launch a campaign calling on the entire people to fight corruption and waste. This campaign will also contribute to the building of a strong and transparent Party and administration. We also need to launch a campaign to mobilize people to introduce new initiatives and contribute to safeguarding national sovereignty and sovereign rights”.
