On January 6th, the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting reported the largest-ever number of participants with more than 2,500 deputies scheduled to attend the 2015 meeting on January 21st – 24th in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. About 300 heads of state, heads of government and government members along with 1,500 business leaders from more than 140 countries and territories around the world. In addition, a number of African heads of state, most of the leaders from ASEAN countries and high-level delegations from key Latin American countries will also attend, as will 14 Nobel laureates and the heads of all the world’s major international organizations. The theme reflects the period of profound political, economic, social and technological change that the world has entered, which has the potential to end the era of economic integration and international partnership that began in 1989.
