At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phu Ha, Deputy Director of the General Bureau of the National Economy directed to implement the Instruction 22/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on planning the 5-year socio-economic development in 2016-2020 period; Instruction 23/CT-TTg on planning medium-term public investment in 5 years, from 2016 to 2020; Mr. Nguyen Chi Hien, Director of Department of Planning and Investment disseminated contents of the PPC Instruction on building plan for the 5-year socio-economic development (2016-2020), planning medium-term public investment in 5 years (2016-2020).
Accordingly, the goal of 5-year socio-economic development plan (2016-2020) aims to maintain macro-economic stability, control inflation, coupled with boosting growth speed and ensuring the sustainable development of economic backgrounds; by 2020 striving to have our country basically become an industrialized country towards modernization. Strengthen environmental protection and actively respond to climate change; maintaining independence, national sovereignty, security and political order and social safety. Strengthening and expanding foreign relations, promoting integration and international cooperation, enhancing Vietnam’s position in region and in international arena.
Establishing public medium-term investment plan in 5 years, period 2016-2020 aims to implement goals and orientations in national 10-year socio-economic development strategy in 2011-2020 period, 5-year socio-economic development plans in period 2016-2020 in branches, sectors, localities and planning for socio-economic development and sectors that have been approved; to be consistent with ability to balance capital investment and attract investment capital of other economic sectors, ensuring macro-economic balance, prioritize debt security …

Concluding the conference, PPC Chairman, Mr. Pham Dinh Cu emphasized that: For planning of 5-year socio-economic development in period 2016-2020, assigning DPI in August to direct departments, sectors and localities to establish plan for 5-year socio-economic development in period 2016-2020; coordinating with departments, branches and localities to calculate, build economic growth plans and big balance in period 2016-2020; summarize and establshing draft report for5-year socio-economic development plans in period 2016-2020 to admitt PPC by October 30th , 2014. Assigning the Department of Finance in collaboration with DPI to build large financial balance, state budget report PPC before October 10th 2014; allocating sufficient fund to establishment plan for 5-year socio-economic development in period 2016-2020. Departments, branches and localities use state budget to plan for 5-year socio-economic development of period 2016-2020 of branches, sectors and localities to be suitable for orientation development of the province and report by October 10th, 2014 …
