HA NOI (VNS) – President of the European Commission, Jose Barroso, will pay an official visit to Viet Nam on August 25-26.
The visit, announced by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh, is at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
On Monday, Barroso will hold talks with Prime Minister Dung, which will focus on negotiations related to the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement, East Sea, EU-ASEAN relations and the Asia-Europe Meeting to be held in Netherlands this October.
Barroso will also meet members of the European business community in HCM City. – VNS
