Military SAR department receives noble order

PANO – The Search and Rescue (SAR) Department, under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, on August 7th marked its 10th founding anniversary and received the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order.

Over the past time, under the direction of the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff, the unit has actively and proactively overcome difficulties to fulfill assigned missions. It was presented with many certificates at all levels by the Party, State, Government, Army and ministries.



Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff cum Deputy Minister of National Defence, hailed the achievements by the department’s troops and urged them to continue to improve the SAR work and natural disaster prevention’s quality to minimize human and property losses.


Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, on behalf of the State President, pinned the order on the unit’s “Determined to Win” Flag.
