PANO – The Southern Women’s Museum received a brass statue of Mrs. Ngo Thi Hue, wife of late Party Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, from Ms. Tran Thu Hong in Ho Chi Minh City on August 7th.

Ms. Tran Thu Hong was taken captive by the enemy since she was only 13 years old and jailed in different prisons from Quang Nam and Binh Dinh provinces to Can Tho city in the 1968-1973 period.

During her revolutionary career, Ms. Hong saw Party Secretary Nguyen Van Linh and his wife as examples to follow.

In 2010, she asked artist Kim Thanh to sculpture a statue of Mrs. Hue for her residence.

Later, she decided to donate the statue to the Southern Women’s Museum.
