Military Zone 7′s search for martyrs’ remains inspected

PANO – Over the past time, Steering Board 1237 for the search and repatriation of martyrs’ remains of Military Zone (MZ) 7′s units, in association with local authorities and organs, collected and reburied 135,339 sets of remains of martyrs in 53 martyrs’ cemeteries in the zone.

This was reviewed at a working session between Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Permanent Deputy Head of National Steering Board 1237 and the MZ’s leaders on August 27th to evaluate the MZ’s implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision 1237 on the search and repatriation of martyrs’ remains.



Addressing the working session, the general praised the units’ proactiveness and efforts in locating and gathering remains of fallen soldiers, affirming the significance of the Party and State’s gratitude decision to families of martyrs and those who had contributed to the revolution.


He requested the MZ’s units to continue grasping thoroughly, promoting dissemination among units, and further cooperate with localities to effectively carry out Decision 1237.
