MoH starts new phase of healthcare project

The Ministry of Health is carrying out the second phase (2014-19) of a healthcare project in the Central Highlands region, with a total investment of US$76.6 million. Of that amount, $70 million is from Asia Development Bank loans.


The project will be carried out in five provinces in the region: Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Lam Dong.


The project aims to improve healthcare services at the commune level and at hospitals, and enhance management capacity at hospitals.

Binh Thuan organises agriculture expo



The largest agriculture and trade exhibition in the Southeastern region opened on Thursday in Phan Thiet City in the central province of Binh Thuan, attracting thousands of visitors.


The fair, the largest in the province, attracted the participation of more than 150 enterprises across the nation, with nearly 400 booths displaying agricultural materials, handicraft products, food industry products and consumer goods.

Quang Ninh welcomes 5.7m visitors


Quang Ninh Province received 5.75 million visitors in the first eight months of this year, with foreign tourists representing 1.58 million of that number, according to the provincial people’s committee.


Total tourism revenues reached more than VND3.502 trillion ($164.6 million), an increase of 3 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.


The province plans to promote tourism in Ha Long Bay in the province as well as develop more tourism products, according to the provincial people’s committee.
