PANO – Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union’s Committee of and the city’s Association of Students met on August 10th in the city to review the Summer Volunteer Campaign 2014 and honour outstanding individuals and groups with great contributions to the campaign.

During the campaign, 170,000 volunteers joined activities, such as helping university exam sitters and their parents, providing free health check-ups and medicines to needy people, building a “Vietnam-Laos Youths” friendship house, concreting rural roads, taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers, granting computers to new rural communes and presenting medicine cabinets to fishermen.
The volunteers also organised various activities in neighbouring countries of Laos and Cambodia.
These activities contributed to improving residents’ life and consolidating friendship between Vietnam and its neighbours.
