PANO – Nearly 70 cadres and troops from Battalion BB5 of Brigade BB82 has assisted ethnic people in Thanh Hung commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province to build two temporary bridges to make travelling less difficult and less dangerous in rainy and flooding season.
Despites heavy rains, the troops and locals kept making rock containing baskets to make bridge buttress and bamboo lattice as the road bed and consolidating the road to villages.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Ngan, Chairman of the communal People’s Committee, under cooperation between the locality and Brigade BB82, the brigade yearly sends troops to upgrade traffic system, especially contemporary bridges to ensure safety for the locals in rainy season.
Apart from the above activities, Brigade BB82 has actively supported locals to develop production, build schools and roads.
These activities help beautify the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, boost the military-civilian ties and firmly protect the northwestern border line.
