Vietnamese and Chinese villages on August 26th signed a twinning agreement in Hai Son commune, Quang Ninh province, in the presence of Senior Colonel Vu Dinh Vung, Deputy Political Commissar of the provincial Border Guard.
Under this agreement, Po Hen village of Quang Ninh province and Tansan village of Naliang town (Fangcheng district of Fangchenggang city) will join hands in educating and encouraging locals to strictly implement three legal documents on Vietnam-China land border; in protecting border markers, border line, and in not diverting the flow of border rivers and springs, as well as not involving in or lending a hand in smuggling and trading drugs, people and other forbidden goods.
The two sides also agreed to promote the fruitful tradition of the two nations, people-to-people exchanges, and contribute to preserving and developing Vietnam-China’s cultural identities.
Furthermore, they would exchange information relating to security, safety and benefits of the villagers, making contributions to building peaceful, friendly and developing border areas between the two countries.
This is the fifth twinned village of Quang Ninh province and other Chinese localities.
