PANO – Designs of costume worn by Mother Goddess under the Mau (Mother Goddess) Religious sect of Vietnam will be introduced in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany in late this September.

Those designs were presented recently at the Hung Kings’ Temple Historical Relic Site in Phu Tho province by My Son Import-Export Joint-Stock Company, the Vietnam Cultural Centre in France and Vietnamese Association in Germany.

This is part of activities to popularize the Mother Goddess Religious sect and also in preparation for submitting its dossiers to UNESCO for its recognition of Vietnamese people’s belief of worshipping the Mother Goddess as an intangible cultural heritage of the mankind.

Besides the designs, the tour to the four European countries will also present a collection of Vietnam’s ancient pottery objects and a historical plough representing Vietnam’s wet-rice civilization.
