PANO – The Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh City Writers’ Association on August 27th launched a writing contest, entitled “40 years of unforgettable memories” in HCM City.
The contest is for all journalists, members of Vietnam and city’s writers’ associations and other domestic and international people.
Each entry should include illustrative photos and not exceed 2,500 words.
Entries must be about facts, people and memories that the authors had experienced or witnessed in first months after the South was liberated and big events of the country since it was reunified.
The contest aimed to honor national and people’s achievements in national construction and defence cause since the South liberation and national reunification, according to the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Tan Phong.
Entries should be sent before March 2015 to the newspaper’s headquarters at 339 Hong Bang street, ward 14, precinct 5 in Ho Chi Minh City or HCM city or to the email: kysu40nam@gmail.com or kysu40nam@sggp.org.vn.
The award ceremony will be held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the South’s Liberation Day and of the first edition ofthe newspaper (May 5th).
