PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Deputy Minister of National Defence, requested the General Department II to continue upgrading firing range and training ground for scouts in the Central region.
The request was made on August 27th when General Ty was attending a conference held by the department to discuss the planning of the above facilities for scouts in the whole army.
The construction progress of these facilities in the Central region and training achievements of Brigade 74 under the General Department II were on the agenda at the conference.
Addressing the meeting, General Ty hailed the department’s constituent units for their efforts to improve training quality.
He also highly spoke of the Ministry’s relevant organs’ creativeness and activeness in building firing ranges and training grounds.
On the occasion, he asked whole army units to grasp thoroughly resolutions and instructions on military and defence work. Units should maintain strictly combat readiness duties, add new contents to combat plans in line with the reality, boost training for troops, keep building regularity and obeying discipline, and pay much attention to the improvement of troops and military rear’s living standards.
Moreover, reconnaissance units were asked to closely work with local party committees and authorities to keep in touch with local current events, do better mass mobilization work, and ensure political security and social order in the area.
