Australian House Speaker wraps up Vietnam visit

Nhan Dan/VNA – Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Bronwyn Bishop left Hanoi on September 14, wrapping up her official visit to Vietnam from September 12-14.

During her stay, the Speaker held talks with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and paid a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.


The Vietnamese leaders said they were looking forward to stronger economic and trade co-operation with Australia.


Both sides agreed to continue stepping up multi-dimensional partnership, particularly in investment, trade, national defence and security and education, conforming respective country’s conditions.
