Nhan Dan – Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan paid a working visit to the northern province of Son La on September 13 to review the province’s eight-month socio-economic performance.
During his meeting with the provincial leaders, VFF President Nhan hailed the efforts made by Son La province in connecting famers and businesses and creating favourable condition for universal preschool education in its disadvantaged districts.
He suggested the provincial authorities offer local people, especially the resettled residents, who made room for the construction of the Son La Hydro-Power Plant, more technical and agricultural support to stabilise their lives. He also called on Son La leaders to strengthen the role of VFF officials.
On the same day, VFF President Nhan and officials of the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) visited and presented breeding cows to 20 needy households in Yen Chau district.
