 Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, Chui Sai On. (Source: http://english.cntv.cn) On September 17, China’s State Council appointed, Chui Sai On, as Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR). Chui was elected the fourth-term Chief Executive-designate of the Macao SAR. He was the sole candidate. Born in Macao in 1957, Chui holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health from California State University, and a Master’s degree and PhD in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma. He has served as the third-term Chief Executive of the Macao SAR since 2009. Chui won 380 votes from the 396 Election Committee members who attended the vote on August 31. Chui Sai On, said that winning the election is the start of a new challenge for both him and Macao. The Chief Executive is expected to impliment his own election declaration and also expected to maintain a thriving Macao./. |
