National level recognizes 19 more intangible cultural heritages

(VOV) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has identified a list of 19 additional national intangible cultural heritages.


These heritages focus on intangible aspects of culture including literacy, folk art performance, social practice and belief, traditional craftsmanship, traditional festival and folk knowledge.


They include:


1. Chu Nom (Ancient Vietnamese script) of Tay ethnic people in Bac Kan province


2. Sluong tune of Tay ethnic people’s folk art in Bac Kan province


3. Hat Boi-a traditional opera singing of Binh Dinh province



4. Bai Choi (singing while playing cards) in Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Quang Nam provinces


5. Theritual of Tay ethnic people in Cao Bang province


6. Stone carving art in Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) in Danang city


7. Giay ethnic people‘s lunar new-year festival of in Ha Giang province


8. Cultivation technique in rock hollows in Dong Van Karst Plateau in Ha Giang province


9. Tet Khu Cu Te (New Rice Celebration Festival) of the La Chi people in Ha Giang province


10. Tug of war of Tay ethnic people in Lao Cai province


11. Tug of war of Giay ethnic people in Lao Cai province


12. Ba Cho Duoc (Mrs Cho Duoc) Cart Welcoming Festival in central Quang Nam province


13. Brocade weaving of Co Tu ethnic people in Quang Nam province


14. The ‘Tung tung-da da’ dance of Cotu ethnic people in Quang Nam province


15. Planting “Cay neu” (Tet pole) – a folk ritual of Co ethnic people in Quang Nam province


16. Du Ke, a style of musical theatre created by Khmer people in Soc Trang province


17. The “Cap Sac” – a ritual to recognise a mature Dao ethnic man in Thai Nguyen province


18. Tac Xinh dancing of San Chay ethnic people in Thai Nguyen province


19. Ok Om Bok festival of Khmer people in Tra Vinh province
