Vietnam to face Japan in Asian volleyball championships

(VOV) -Vietnam defeated Iran 3-1 to earn a berth in the quarter-final round of the ongoing Asian Women’s Cup Volleyball Championships taking place in China on Sept 8.

The women’s team won convincingly 25-20 in the first set, 24-26 in the second, 25-20 in the third and 25-20 in the fourth.

After the triumph, Vietnam ranks third in Group A and next faces Japan standing second in Group B in the quarter-final.

Other matches in the quarter-final are China-Thailand, Kazakhstan-Iran, the Republic of Korea- Chinese Taiwan.
