(VOV) – Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam Huynh Phong Tranh received the Overall Deputy of the Office of the Ombudsman of the Philippines Melchor Arthur Carangdang in Hanoi on September 16.
Tranh highlighted the importance of cooperative relations between his agency and its counterpart in the Philippines, noting that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation signed last year will give a boost to a closer links in the future.
The two agencies need develop practical plans to carry out the MoU effectively by strengthening delegation exchange, and sharing information and expertise.
Tranh said he hoped the two agencies will continue to augment their relations in the time ahead thus deepening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, Carangdang described the MoU as a valuable foundation for the two inspection agencies to increase their cooperation while affirming that his agency will go ahead with realizing the agreement.
The same day, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Hao held talks with Carangdang, during which both sides shared anti-corruption experience as mentioned in the MoU.
