PANO – The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) on November 18th started a two-day festival for young speakers of its organs.

Themed “Youths of the organs of the General Department of Politics following predecessors to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, the festival heard lively speeches on the construction, combat and development of the VPA since its establishment 70 years ago.
Speakers introduced good results in implementing the resolutions of youth union congresses at all levels, the program “Army youths learning and following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, and in raising awareness of youth union members on ethics and lifestyle standards. They also highlighted their units’ political missions and youths’ pioneering and creative role.
Addressing the event, Major General Ho Trong Dao, Deputy Secretary of the General Department of Politics’ organs’ party committee and Director of the Political Department emphasized that the event was to evaluate the quality of youth union cadres and communications in the army to better fulfill their tasks in future.
