Phuoc Son belongs to the highlands of Quang Nam Province, with the population of different ethnic groups. Located 110 km west of Tam Ky City, Phuoc Son borders the districts of Que Son, Nam Giang, Tra My, Hiep Duc, and Kon Tum Province. Forestry plays the most important role in the district’s economic structure, followed by gold mining in recent years.
