The State Government has allocated an amount of 200 billion VND sourced from the Central Government Bond to the two-stage project of Dung Quat – Sa Huynh seaside highway under construction in Quang Ngai province.
The 99-km route runs through four seaside districts of Binh Son, Son Tinh, Tu Nghia, Mo Duc and Duc Pho.
This is a key project of Quang Ngai province with total approved capital of VND 3,790 trillion (over US $ 180 million) sourced from the Central Government bond.
The 12-m wide route will connect the seaside roads of the northern province of Quang Nam and the southern province of Binh Dinh to be an important seaside route in the central region of Vietnam.
The project belongs to the national planning of seaside route and is expected to kick off the development of society, economy, tourism; to ensure security, national defense; and to reduce the problem of traffic accidents.
The first stage of construction worth VND 2,500 billion – approved to be five years of from 2008-2015 – includes two sections: the first is from Dung Quat Economic Zone to My Khe Beach and the second isfrom My Khe Beach to the new bridge of Tra Khuc .
The second stage will be implemented in the period of between 2016 and 2020.
