Vietnam gained a trade surplus of over US$2 billion as of September 15, according to the national customs agency.
The country’s export value rose 14.2% to nearly US$ 102.69 billion in the reviewed period. Of the export figure, the FDI sector shipped over US$63 billion, up 15.8%.
Meanwhile, the nation’s import turnover stood at nearly US$100.66 billion, an increase of 11.3% against the same period last year.
Vietnam ran a trade surplus of US$ 1.81 billion for the first eight and a half months of 2014, according to the Vietnam Customs.
