Vietnam Airlines and Jet Airways promote direct air services

(CPV) - President and CEO of Vietnam Airlines Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh and Mr. Naresh Goyal – Chairman of Jet Airways from India have signed Memorandum of Understanding in Hanoi on September 15 which adds a number of important contents into the comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two airlines.

The signing ceremony is part of the framework of the State visit of President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, to Vietnam under the invitation of State President Truong Tan Sang.


Accordingly, the two sides will continue to expand their codeshare cooperation to offer passengers more convenient connecting flights between India – Vietnam through the international gateways of Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong via the combined networks of both airlines.


Vietnam Airlines will place its marketing code on Jet Airways’ flights on the route Singapore – Mumbai/Delhi/Chennai, Bangkok/Hongkong – Mumbai/Delhi and Jet Airways‘ new direct route Delhi – Ho Chi Minh city via Bangkok; meanwhile Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Vietnam Airlines’ flights on the route Singapore/Bangkok/Hong Kong – Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh city and Vietnam Airlines’ new route Singapore – Phu Quoc


In addition, the two airlines also share a commitment to coordinate closely in trade promotion activities to promote the bilateral aviation market which shall prepare the best premise for direct air services between the two countries./.
