(VOVworld)- North Korea’s Workers’ Party markedits 69th anniversary of founding yesterday/ on Friday. Many North Koreans laid wreaths in front at statues of late leaders, Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansudae in Pyongyang.

For the first time in three years, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wasn’t on a list of dignitaries at a celebration of the founding anniversary of the ruling Workers’ Party. North Korea’s media did not mention leader Kim Jong Un’s presence at this event. The apparent no-show will add to mounting speculation that something is amiss with the authoritarian leader, who hasn’t been seen publicly in more than a month.
