On October 28, Doosan Vina’s Water Shop had successfully shipped the final of four massive 4,500 ton desalination evaporators to Saudi Arabia following the Yanbu Phase III seawater desalination project.
This is the eighth desalination plant that the Water shop has completed since starting productionin 2009.
Each of the four units has the size of a football yard and capable of producing 95 million liters of fresh water per day.
When the four units are working together, they could provide enough water to meet the daily needs of several millions people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Because of it big size and weight, the movement, transfer and loading of the desalination plant to the specialized ship took two days to complete with specialized equipments.
