PANO – Quang Binh provincial Military Command on November 11th started the construction of a gratitude house for the family of Vo Van Danh, one of the 34 soldiers of the Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People’s Army.
During his revolutionary career, Danh together with his comrades participated in many important battles with great feats of arm. In 1951, he came back to his home hamlet of Dong Lam, Duc Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, and took part in local revolutionary activities. Danh died of illness in 1991.
Apart from the house, the command, local party committee, and authorities provided financial assistance, while local organs and people contributed construction materials and working days to upgrade Danh’s grave and his altar.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, the military command’s leader presented VND 10 million in cash to Vo Van Danh’s family.
The same day, Military Hospital 105 of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army handed over a house to Dao Van Sinh, whose two sons are martyrs, in Phu Nhi 3 hamlet, Phu Thinh ward, Son Tay town, Hanoi.
The 70sq.m house was built with financial assistance from the General Department of Logistics, Military Hospital 105, his relatives and local people.
At the hand-over ceremony, the hospital presented VND 9 million and household appliances to the family.
