PANO – General Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of National Defence, on November 11th inspected the preparation for the 24th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-24), the 15th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting (ACAMM-15), and the 4th ASEAN Sergeant Major Annual Meeting (ASMAM-4).
As reported by the Department of Military Training (the General Staff), the preparation for the events has been completed. In addition to the five shooting ranges, relevant agencies have also completed the building of structures, including the mess halls, accommodation for firers, and the headquarters for the organizing committee.
Besides, training has also been held for 336 umpires, 57 drivers, and receptionists for the two conferences. Especially, Vietnam’s shooting contingent has conducted intensive training in preparation for the meet.
For the opening and closing ceremonies, the organizing committee has held two rehearsals, completed the posters and instructions at the barracks and shooting ranges, and held a press conference to introduce the meet and other conferences.
After the inspection, the Minister hailed the organizing committee for the close direction in completing preparation for the events. Especially the infrastructure has been carefully built, ready for the meet.
