PANO – The Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony to honour its outstanding teachers and handed over the President’s noble titles to them on November 18th in Hanoi, in the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Minister of the National Defence.
In order to recognize their great contributions and teaching talents in the training and education cause of the country especially within the army, the State President has approved to present the “People’s Teacher” titles to three outstanding military teachers and the “Meritorious Teacher” title to 26 others this year.
On behalf of the Ministry of National Defence and the Central Military Commission, General Ty congratulated all military teachers on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and affirmed their important roles in the comprehensive innovation of the national training and education cause.
He asked them to continue self-studying to improve professionalism, teaching skills, knowledge on information technology and foreign language as well as innovating teaching methods to promote training and education quality.
Besides, he urged the ministry’s functional agencies to provide timely staff work for the Central Military Commission and effectively instruct academies and schools to create favourable conditions for teachers while doing their missions, contributing to comprehensively renovating education cause and building a revolutionary, regular, elite and increasingly modern army.
