(VOVworld) – EU finance ministers agreed Friday to extend a deadline for Britain to pay a huge 2.1-billion-euro bill until September 2015, after Prime Minister David Cameron refused to pay it by December 1.
Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne claimed victory on Friday in a budget battle with the European Union, saying it would pay only half of what Brussels had demanded, but EU officials said payment had merely been delayed.
