(CPV) –In November, Vietnam had 7,767 new enterprises established with a total registered capital of VND38.8 trillion, a 13.7% rise in number of enterprise and a 20.8% increase in capital from the prior month, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).


Totaling the first 11 months of 2014, the country saw 67,790 newly-established enterprises, valued at VND391.3 trillion, down 4.5% in number of enterprises and up 8.9% in capital compared to the same period last year. The new enterprises offered jobs for 992,000 workers during the period, a year-on-year rise of 1.9%.


Although the economy has not escaped from crisis, an increasing number of newly established enterprises in the 11 months demonstrate faith by the business community in the long-term outlook.


Over the past 11 months, 20,800 enterprises raised their existing capital by VND544.6 trillion, said the GSO. With these, the total registered and added capital to the economy was VND935.9 trillion.


According to the GSO, during the period, about 60,340 enterprises met difficulties to such an extent that they must be dissolved, registered for suspension or suspended their operation while waiting for business tax codes, a year-on-year rise of 9.8%.


As many as 14,208 enterprises resumed their operations in the 11 months, up 11.8% over a year previous./.
