National flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines will launch its promotional program on local routes for the coming Tet holiday season starting November 15.
One-way tickets for Ho Chi Minh City – Da Lat/Buon Ma Thuot/Phu Quoc/Nha Trang/Pleiku routes will be VND299,000; Ho Chi Minh City- Hue/Quy Nhon/Da Nang will cost VND499,000; Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi/Hai Phong/Vinh/Thanh Hoa will be VND699,000.
The special rates will be applicable for flights departing from November 15, 2014 to March 2, 2015.
Vietnam Airlines will offer 1,200 additional flights on local and international routes for the lunar New Year.
The flagship carrier will provide a total of 18,900 flights, including 260 flights on the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route using Airbus A321, A330 and Boeing 777 aircrafts; 340 flights on the Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City route with Airbus A321 aircraft; and flights on routes such as HCMC-Vinh/Hai Phong/Pleiku/Buon Ma Thuot/Quy Nhon/Cam Ranh/Hue/Thanh Hoa/Phu Quoc and Hanoi-Cam Ranh/Da nang/Phu Quoc/Vinh.
There will be also 36 additional flights on the routes from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to international destinations such as Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), and Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China).
Additionally, Vietnam Airlines officially opened the first direct flight between Phu Quoc and Singapore on November 2. The new service will be operational with two weekly flights using Airbus A321 aircraft.
