NDO – The Vietnamese girls had home fans on their feet as they demolished Singaporean opponents 11-0 in their first Group C qualifying game for the 2015 AFC U19 Championship at the Hanoi-based Youth Football Training Centre on November 5.

The hosts played offensively right from the first whistle demonstrating strong determination to bag three points, with spirit and confidence boosted by their previous 10-0 win against Singapore at the 2014 AFF U19 Women’s Championship in August.

Vietnam took absolute control of the first half, promptly creating a six-goal advantage thanks to captain Le Hoai Luong (16th and 45th minute), Bui Thi Trang (5th), Nguyen Thanh Huyen (14th), Bien Thi Hang (24th) and Doan Thi Thanh Tam (42nd).

The second-half remained unchanged with the home side leading ball possession and attack waves.

Captain Hoai Luong had a booming day of competition as she netted three more goals in the 47th, 62nd and 83rd minutes, increasing her tally to five goals.

Despite their concerted efforts seeking equalisers, Singaporean players could not hold-out against the hosts’ stormy offense, conceding two additional goals with time running out.

The resounding 11-0 victory lifted Vietnam to top of Group C, with their better goal difference against Australia, who addressed Hong Kong (China) 6-0 in another game the same day.

Next up for Vietnam is an encounter against Hong Kong (China) scheduled for tomorrow.
