PANO – The People’s Army Newspaper and Hanoi Radio-Television organized on December 13th in Hanoi a special art program recapturing the growth and development of the army and the country through songs.
An art performance on Vietnamese troops
The three parts of the programs, including “Resounding Dien Bien”, “Splitting Truong Son to save the country” and “Singing forever the marching song”, demonstrated lively magnanimous time of the older generations who had braved themselves to save the nation and 70-years of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army.
Via songs and art performances, spectators were more proud of the world-shaking victory of Dien Bien Phu Campaign, the anti-American resistance war, and Uncle Ho’s soldiers’ national construction and protection.
On the occasion, the organizing panel and benefactors presented nearly 200 gifts to national contributors; 100 scholarships, worth VND 5 million each, to children of needy officers and soldiers; four houses to teachers, and 1,000 sets of uniform to students of Ngai Thau Primary and Secondary Schools in Lao Cai province; and 1,200 glasses to children with refractive deficiency.
Moreover, VND 200 million was presented to build classrooms for Khuay Hoa branch of Hoa Tham communal kindergarten in Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province.
