PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, on December 19th led a mission of the ministry to work with the Military Zone 7 Command on the implementation of the 2014 military and defence missions.

Lieutenant General Tran Don, the military zone’s commander, briefed the delegation on the zone’s performance in 2014 and local developments, especially in military external affairs. The zone’s achievements this year have contributed to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the locality, ensuring border security and consolidating friendship with Cambodia.
Hailing the zone for their good results, General Vinh asked it to continue carrying out comprehensively its work in the time to come, strengthen local military and defence work, build up its defence capabilities and actively deal with arising situations.
He also asked them to focus on military external affairs, boost ties and exchanges with local authorities and Cambodian armed forces, and build border areas of peace, friendship and development.
