The signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between Vientiane and Hai Duong
A talk between leaders of Vientiane (Lao People’s Democratic Republic) and Hai Duong provinces took place on December 23 morning at the Vientiane Provincial People’s Committee.
At the talk, Mr. Khammeung Phongthady, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Vientiane Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Governor, and Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, affirmed that in the past 30 years, under the leadership of Hai Duong and Vientiane Provincial Party Committees and the Governments, state officers and the people of the two provinces have jointly built and consolidated the brotherly solidarity and friendship to help each other further develop in all fields; development in numerous special friendly and cooperated fields and construction works appreciated by the two Parties and States and acknowledged by the people of the two provinces. In which, development of agro-forestry production and development of services and industry are prominent fields. The two sides have established cooperation centers, etc. to contribute to building and development of specially solidary and friendly relations between the two brotherly nations of Vietnam and Laos.
The leaders of the two provinces agreed to further strengthen the ties of special friendship and comprehensive cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit; bring into full play the potential and advantages of each province in socio-economic development, assurance of national security and defense, and raising of people’s living standards; and promote exchange of experience in developing the Parties, governments, Fatherland Fronts, organizations, and unions in the time to come.
Hai Duong provincial authorities will encourage its businesses to invest in Vientiane province with attention paid to the fields of agro-forestry product processing, mineral mining, breeding, and cultivation; facilitate further development of the Vientiane – Hai Duong and Hai Duong – Vientiane Cooperation Centers.
The authorities will continue to support the training of human resources; construct preschools to present to Vientiane province with a budget of about VND6 billion, a technical room for artificial insemination for cattle at the Vientiane – Hai Duong Cooperation Center, etc.
