The Russian-Vietnamese Oil and Gas joint venture (Vietsovpetro) is expected to exploit over 5.35 million tonnes of oil in 2014, exceeding the year’s target by some 250,000 tonnes, said the company on December 7th. According to Vietsovpetro, at 09-1 and 09-3 lots, seven out of nine drills discovered oil and gas and five areas were detected to place a BK rig. In 2014, oil sales of the joint venture are estimated at USD4.34 billion, a 2.4% rise from the year’s target and adding USD2.22 billion to the State budget. Of this, profits for Vietnam reached USD386.7 million, up 7.9% from the year’s target while those for Russia were USD393.6 million, up 4.3%. The company pumped 5.56 million tonnes of oil in 2013, 156,000 tonnes higher than the year’s target and contributing USD3 billion to the State budget./. |
