— With a theme of “Sustainable Development Goals: Turning Words into Actions”, the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132), will take place in Hanoi from March 28 to April 1, with the participation of nearly 2,000 foreign delegates from 150 countries and international organizations. A Hanoi statement detailing the outcomes of the event is also expected to be issued at the end of the event, said the National Assembly Committee for External Relations.
— As the weather became hot over the past few days, about 60,000 people including foreigner came to the southern coastal city of Vung Tau for sea bathing on Saturday, the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, three times more than that a day earlier, Tuoi Tre (Youth) correspondents reported from the city. All hotel rooms in the city were booked by visitors for Saturday and Sunday.
— About 275 road traffic accidents occurred nationwide over five days of the Tet (Lunar New Year) vacation, killing 164 people and injuring 237 others, the National Traffic Safety Committee reported. The numbers of accidents and people injured from February 15 to 19 were 14 and 76, respectively, less than those in the same period last year. However, the number of deaths was 29 higher.

— The State Bank of Vietnam is required to coordinate with ministries and localities in regulating the monetary policy in a proactive and flexible manner, so as to better control of inflation, keep macro-economic stability, boost economic growth, and support the development of the financial and securities markets, according to Resolution 01/NQ-CP recently issued by the Government detailing measures to boost the social and economic development in 2015.
