Vietnam and Colombia will accelerate trade and agricultural cooperation, said Mr Felice Snider, Honorary Consul of Colombia in Vietnam, during his meeting with Dr Pham Thi Thu Hang, General Secretary of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in Hanoi.
VCCI General Secretary Hang said the bilateral commercial and economic cooperation between Vietnam and Colombia is limited in the face of many favourable factors. Colombian companies can study and cooperate with Vietnamese partners in garment – textile, leather – footwear, electronics and furniture fields. Besides, Vietnam hopes to cooperate with Colombia in high-tech agriculture, fisheries, handicraft and animal feed processing.
For his part, Felice Snider highly appreciated Vietnam’s economic development and hoped VCCI to support Colombian businesses to look for investment opportunities in Vietnam. He noted that, when entering the Colombian market, Vietnamese companies need to pay attention to profiles and reputations of their partners and choose highly secure international payment methods.
He added that the Embassy of Colombia in Vietnam will hold a trade promotion event in Vietnam in the second quarter of 2015 to help Colombian businesses to learn about the Vietnamese market and investment cooperation with Vietnamese firms.
