PANO – A mission from the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Director Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich on February 12th inquired after and offered gifts to two sick officers.
They are Colonel Doan Vinh Quang, an editor from the Editing Department for Military Books under the People’s Army Publishing House, and Major Ly Xuan The, a non-commissioned officer from the Army Single-Member Printing Co. Ltd. No 1.

Colonel Doan Quang Vinh has suffered a chronic kidney disease for years and Major Ly Xuan The had an occupational accident ten years ago and been bedridden. Both the two soldiers’ families are now leading very difficult lives.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the National Defence Ministry, General Lich shared his compassion with the sick soldiers and stressed that the Party, State and Army would always well implement policies to take care of needy families and policy beneficiaries.
At the event, the general also wished them a happy Lunar New Year (Tet) festival and hoped that they would recover and have better life.
