On February 6, the foundation handed 200 presents to 25 households in eight communes in Dakrong District of Quang Tri Province. According to the local government, the district’s annual per capita income is a mere VND8.2 million (around US$384).
The two following days saw the foundation donating 200 gifts to poor households and Orange Agent victims in Na Tam and Ta Leng communes in Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province. Wilf Blackburn, chief executive officer of Prudential Vietnam, said by donating gifts the company wants to share the difficulties faced by poor people, especially in rural and mountainous areas in Quang Tri and Lai Chau Provinces.
