A police officer was hospitalized with multiple facial injuries after his team was attacked, allegedly by relatives of a traffic violator whom they were chasing, in southern Vietnam last night.
According to the police, the officers were chasing a speeding motorist who disregarded stop signs and refused to pull over.
When they reached a neighborhood which the man is believed to live in, he called for help and a group of people came out in the street and attack the officers. Both the violator and the attackers managed to flee after that.

Police said they are investigating the case and identifying the suspects.
