With the message, “Time for Green Actions”, the campaign, with the participation of more than 5,000 volunteers, includes various meaningful activities such as “20 seconds for the Earth Hour” to call on people turn off their vehicles when they stop at the red light to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions, “Green movement” with bicycle parades to raise people’s awareness of environmental protection, “Green Sprout for the Earth” to help create more environment-friendly and energy-saving school models, and “Green Energy” to give locals methods to save electricity and offer gifts to households who could reduce power consumption by five percent.

Besides, there will be a contest on people’s environmental and social knowledge themed, “I love a green Vietnam”. Volunteers will also go to organs, units and businesses to call on people to switch off unnecessary lights and electrical equipment for an hour in response to the Earth Hour Campaign in 2015.
