The exhibition, co-organised by the zone and the Ministry of Information and Communications, displays a collection of maps, administrative documents dating back decades ago, related Western publications issued from the seventh to the nineteenth century, and objects that conclusively affirm Vietnam’s national sovereignty over the seas and islands.

Especially, the event showcased a six-volume collection of the Atlas Universal, published by Philippe Vandermaelen in Belgium in 1827, including the map “Partie de la Cochinchine” confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands.
