Vietnamese-Chinese joint border patrol launched in Lao Cai province

PANO – Troops from Ban Lau Border Post of the Lao Cai provincial Border Guards under the Vietnam People’s Army and the Nanxi Border Guard Battalion under the Chinese People’s Liberation Army co-organized a joint patrol along the shared borderline on April 10th in Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district.

This regular joint patrol is to enhance solidarity, friendship, cooperation between the two countries in maitaining security along the common border while respecting each other’s sovereignty.


Over the past time, the two units have well carried out law education and information activities for the locals, urged them to observe regulations of the Border Defence Cooperation Agreement approved by the two governments and cooperated to ensure the border security, protect the national landmarks and exchange related information on their mission.


In the meantime, the two units made preparations for this year’s defence exchange program between Vietnam and China, exchanged experiences for better implementation of the next patrol, signed the bilateral patrol’s report, and offered gifts to each other to consolidate solidarity between the two border guards.
